Animal Justice Fund
The Animal Justice Fund (AJF) is a $1,000,000 fund established in 2007 to promote the cause of animal welfare through the prosecution of persons or businesses under the Tasmanian animal welfare legislation who commit crimes against animals used in intensive farming, or who abuse animals by commercial and/or recreational practices.

The AJF aims will be achieved, in part, by the payment of rewards (maximum of $25,000) to members of the public who provide information that leads to the successful prosecution of offenders of animal cruelty. *

How the Animal Justice Fund Works
Members of the public are encouraged to supply information to Against Animal Cruelty Tasmania (AACT). Information which may lead to a successful conviction includes statutory declarations, video footage, photographs, telephone records, email correspondence and surveillance tapes.

Information will be assessed in consultation with our lawyers and an appropriate decision made regarding possible prosecution. Informants will be notified of the intended course of action.

All information supplied to the AJF will remain the property of AACT. For further information on how the AJF works, email info@animaljusticefund.org
